Speak Out!

Workplace bullying is an insidious practice that is shrouded in fear

Organisations can be scared to show their support for this campaign in case it indicates an inherent problem within their company

Targets of bullying are either fearful that making a complaint will worsen the situation, or that they simply won’t be believed. Too many people still believe that bullying is normal working practice

Witnesses of bullying can be too afraid of being targeted themselves to speak up

The idea behind Ban Bullying at Work Day 2007 is to inspire everyone across the UK to Speak Out against bullying without fear!

We want everyone to understand that workplace bullying is not an issue to be swept under the carpet, but one to be shouted about and attacked head on.

Too many people still believe that these behaviours are normal working practice.
